About Our Gallery
Rose Thome Casterine – Teathered Narritives
Thematically, this series explores varied modes of visual communication, combining language and representation, the symbol and the perceptual form. Visual language such as shorthand, numbers, patterns, diagrams and children’s drawings serve as the structural foundation for the compositions – contemporary hieroglyphs depicting structure, foundation and information. Another layer of traditional perceptual imagery depicts aesthetic figures within this structural space. Applying this systematic design strategy, I discover new relationships between gesture, context and content. We present the art in the spirit with which it was created — with honesty, integrity, and beauty, without pretension. Our stable of artists is an international group. Hailing from, Kyoto, London, Havana, Vienna, Atlanta, Boston, Savannah, New York, New Mexico, New Orleans, and Florida, to name a few. The direction of the gallery, since 1999, has been to introduce contemporary artists, of extraordinary talent, to the community. We represent both emerging and mid-career artists.
