About Our Gallery
We are proud to present the brilliant work of Cheryl Goldsleger, now hanging in the gallery through April 22nd.
Working with structural imagery throughout her career, Goldsleger was inspired to create a body of work based on the architecture of the historic National Academy of Sciences building in Washington, D.C. The completed works were exhibited there in spring 2013 in a solo exhibition entitled The NAS Project.
The project features six canvases a sculpture, and six computer animations. Two of the canvases are now part of the museum’s permanent collection. The work shown includes four of the canvases from The NAS Project as well as an exquisite collection of mixed media, graphite on Dura – Lar drawingsWe present the art in the spirit with which it was created — with honesty, integrity, and beauty, without pretension.
